I was in hospital this morning for an Antibiotic nebulizer and the removal of my Hickman Line. The line has done its job getting the drugs in but now we were having trouble getting blood out so it was best to take out to prevent infection. With a little cutting, pulling and stitching it was all sorted. I am glad it has gone.
Next hospital visit is Friday 8th May for blood tests and clinic.

ReplyDeleteAnother milestone passed. It all helps you feel a bit more normal again, I should think.
ReplyDeleteHow are your blood counts looking? - still improving, I hope!
platelets last Friday were 104 that's up 10 and neutrophils 0.7 up 0.3. Calcium still needing help but getting there.
ReplyDeleteIt's all sounding good and psychologically (big word day!) it has to make you feel better. Well done you.
ReplyDeleteI went for my Herceptin yesterday and saw Dr Clark. I think he was impressed with me because when he looked through my records his words were "bloody hell, it's 20 months since you finished your chemo"! You know where you are with someone like that.
Keep up the good work.
Glad you are doing well and you obviously are by what your Prof Clarke says. Don't quote me on it but I find you an inspiration at times.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that, the feeling is most definately mutual.
ReplyDeleteLets stop there Di, people might start to think that we like each other.
ReplyDeleteSorry, don't know what came over me. Can't stand you really! ((*_*))
